Privacy notice

The data controller for this league is Alan Hardwick. For anything to do with your personal data — access, correction, export, deletion or a complaint — email alan@geti.cc.

• Your name and email address, taken when you register.
• The club you belong to, and any team you are assigned to.
• Optionally your date of birth and gender — used only to work out which Virtual League classes you are eligible for (Men's, Ladies', Young Guns, Veterans). You can leave these blank.
• Optionally a short bio you choose to write on your member profile.
• Your shooting record: cards, individual shot values, totals, 5.1 counts, match appearances and season progress.
• Who entered and who witnessed each of your cards, and cards where you acted as scorer or witness for someone else — this is required by the league constitution so results can be verified.
• Club and team logos uploaded by captains or admins.

We do not collect payment details, we do not use tracking or advertising technology, and we do not buy or sell personal data.

• Running the league — recording scores, producing league tables, leaderboards, the 5.1 Club and match results, and verifying cards. Lawful basis: legitimate interests in operating a members' competition.
• Your account — signing you in and applying your role (admin, captain, shooter, probationary). Lawful basis: legitimate interests / performance of your membership.
• Optional profile fields — date of birth, gender and bio. Lawful basis: your consent, given by choosing to enter them. You can clear them at any time from your shooter details.

• Approved members can see other members' names, clubs, teams and shooting results inside the members' area. That is the point of a league — results are published to the membership.
• Email addresses are visible only to your club captain and to league admins. They are not shown on leaderboards or public pages.
• Probationary members see no league data until an admin approves them.
• Nothing in the members' area is visible to the public internet.

This site sets no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is the information needed to keep you signed in, plus a note of whether you've dismissed our storage banner. That storage is strictly necessary, so no consent banner is required for it — but we tell you about it anyway.

The site and its database are hosted by our cloud application platform and its managed database provider, who act as our processors and store data on servers in the UK/EU. They process data only on our instructions. Email confirmations for registration are sent through the same platform. We do not use any other third-party processor. This notice describes our own practices; it is not an independent certification or audit.

Shooting records — cards, shots, totals and 5.1 counts — are kept for the life of the league, because season results and historical league tables depend on them. Your personal identifiers (name, email, date of birth, gender, bio) are kept only while you are a member, or until you ask us to remove them.

Under UK GDPR you can ask us to:

• See a copy of your data — sign in and use My data → Download my data for an immediate machine-readable export.
• Correct it — edit your own profile, or ask your captain or an admin.
• Delete it — request removal from My data. When approved, your name is replaced with "Former member" and your email, date of birth, gender, bio and club link are erased, and your login is deleted. Your past scores stay in the record so league tables and team totals remain correct — they can no longer be linked to you.
• Object or restrict — tell us and we'll stop publishing your results, which in practice means withdrawing you from the league.

We answer requests within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Young Guns competitors may be under 18. Where a member is under 13, a parent or guardian must register on their behalf and consent to their results being recorded and shown to the membership.

If we change this notice materially we'll update the version above and ask members to re-confirm where the change affects how we use their data.
